The journey to Jerome is not necessarily for the faint of heart as it was a frontier mining town that historically had a dark underbelly. While it is easy to avoid the more sordid history of Jerome, many of our guests are very intrigued by it. Because Jerome's history is so full and replete with numerous historical tangents, we are able to modify and dampen this part of the tour and just focus on the fun and scenic aspects if the guests prefer. But, as a popular visitor attraction, Jerome has a lot to offer in terms of scenic views, mining history, visitor attractions, and much more. One of our favorite stops is the Jerome Historical Society's Audry Headframe Park where you can stand on a glass see-through platform that is atop a 2,000 foot deep mine shaft, or not.
