Take a journey through Laura Plantation, spying other historic plantations as you travel the Great River Road. View stunning architecture and sugar cane fields. The tour is a 75-minute guided tour of the Laura Plantation main house, gardens and slave quarters. Located on the West bank of the Mississippi in the heart of Plantation Country. The main house dates from 1805 and has been restored to the time when it functioned as both a family home and the office for the sugar plantation. Continue the tour on the grounds with 12 buildings on the National Register.

After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE).

After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes cover pontoon low-speed boat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators.

We had the best time on this tour. They were extremely accommodating and Ivery was super. We were transported to our tours with ease and had a stress free, effortless day due to the organization of this tour group. We did the Laura plantation and had an amazing tour guide Kyla who has a future in public speaking, so good! We then went to our swamp tour and had a blast. I would recommend doing your day tours with this group. Thank you again for a great day!
