It is the only double-deck bridge with independent lifts in the world and the second oldest vertical-lift bridge in North America, after the nearby Hawthorne Bridge. The bridge links the Rose Quarter and Lloyd District in the east to Old Town Chinatown neighborhood in the west.

Son pont inférieur transporte le trafic ferroviaire et cyclable/piéton, tandis que le pont supérieur transporte le trafic routier et le métro léger (MAX), ce qui rend le pont l'un des plus multimodaux au monde. C'est le seul pont à deux étages avec des ascenseurs indépendants au monde et le deuxième plus ancien pont à levage vertical en Amérique du Nord, après le pont Hawthorne à proximité. Le pont relie le Rose Quarter et le Lloyd District à l'est au quartier Old Town Chinatown à l'ouest.

Fontaine Skidmore
La fontaine Skidmore a été installée en 1888 à Ankeny Plaza, le centre de commerce et de divertissement de son époque. Le brasseur Henry Weinhard a proposé de pomper la bière de sa brasserie via les tuyaux d'incendie de Portland à travers les tuyaux de la fontaine Skidmore pour l'inauguration de la fontaine.

Great tour and guide. Perfect way to see the city. Loved the mix of downtown riding and riding by the ricer crossing bridges. Highly recommend!!!

Great 3 hours to spend if you want to get to know the hidden corners of Portland. I had an electric bike and it was easy to control through the bike path.

The group, guided by John ( excellent guide, very friendly) was rather small, 6 people altogether! We enjoyed a comprehensive tour of Portland dowtown for over 3 hours of gentle cycling. All major landmarks of the town, and many informations on the living style, history etc! No much efforts, easy going cyling tour!
