A fun day making our way through the mangroves to the secret lagoon. Easy paddle, loved seeing the birds as we headed into the mangrove.

Pick up was very easy through booking with TripAdvisor, was told since we had our reservations through this site we could have our choice of two singles or one double. Highly recommend a double if your with your spouse or partner for those channels to explore were extremely narrow with low low branches. The paddles they provide are much too long...this place needs to switch them to the paddles that can be taken apart into a two section piece. We had to use the Mangrove branches to monkey bar our way through the narrow maze. It was definitely an adventure but not for the unfit. Would not recommend to folks who have back issues, neck, shoulder, or over weight. We had to twist our bodies in various ways as the branches quickly become obstacles. Did not see a Manatee until we came back and there was one nursing on a fresh water running hose that one of the docked boat captains had on for the local Manatees

Regarding your suggestion about switching to 2 piece paddles, we'd like to offer some insight. With over a decade of experience in the industry, we've found that two-piece paddles tend to break more easily and are more prone to getting lost, which can disrupt the paddling experience for our customers. We've carefully chosen our equipment based on what has proven to work best for our customers over the years. We respectfully disagree with the notion that our activity is only suitable for the fit. The paddle route is a two mile journey that beginners often find enjoyable and manageable. While there may be some physical exertion involved, it's typically well within the capabilities of most individuals. As for swinging off the branches in the mangroves, we're glad to hear that you found it to be a fun part of the adventure. Many of our customers enjoy this unique experience, but we understand that it may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those with mobility or health concerns. While we can't guarantee wildlife sightings, we strive to provide memorable experiences for all our guests. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we'll take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our services. A fun experience! We went on our own and explored at our own pace. Definitely worth navigating to the large lagoon deep in the mangrove!
