We contemplated visiting the Grand Canyon from Vegas by rental car and then by bus tour but ultimately decided to spend a little more money and do it right. 5 Star picks you up right from your hotel and shuttles you about 45 minutes to Boulder City. You wait in a comfortable lounge area where they provide refreshments and then off you go on your once in a lifetime Grand Canyon Tour. Our pilot Sterling did a great job of being both informative and funny during the hour plus time in the air. And then there are the views....The Hoover Dam and then the West Rim of the Grand Canyon were just incredible! Words cannot describe what it is like descending into the Canyon and seeing the enormity of this wonder of the world. If you are planning on seeing the Canyon, a helicopter with 5 star is a must!

This tour was very good. A long helicopter ride, so much better than the fifteen minutes you usually get. Could appreciate the size of the Hoover Dam from above. Also saw the Grand Canyon West Rim which was okay. The pilot was funny and informative.

The Canyon is truly an amazing site, there are no words that can truly describe the experience, so what you are left with, is the provider of the tour - and in our case, we very lucky to make the tour with 5starhelicoptertours, who offered great service. On top of that, we got an amazing pilot and tour guide named Lars, who gave both a great flight, tour information and was just plain pleasant company. Lars was exactly delivering what we were hoping for, which may have something to do with the fact that he is born in Switzerland - his mentality matched our Danish, and we were just thrilled to have him as our pilot and guide, to a degree where we would ask for him again, should we return to this natural wonder.
