I live in the south where it rarely snows or gets to a negative degree so renting gear was the best way to go. They had all sizes. The lady was very helpful in getting me properly prepared for the cold weather. She recommended places to go and things to do too

We rented the 3 piece extreme cold package - Snowpants, Parka and boots. We went out to watch the aurora and went snowshoeing. We were very warm and its easy to move around it. We even went sledding at the ice park Alaska. Which I highly recommend that too. Alaska Outdoor Gear rents sleds. Check out the Ice Slides and Ice sculptures. Alaska Outdoor Gear helped us plan our trip and gave us many tips and shared helpful websites to make sure we made the most of our trip. We returned our gear rental at the hotel which was very easy and fast. Great trip. Pikes restaurant has great burgers and Banks is good too

Excellent gear - Warm winter parkas, snowpants and winter boot rentals from Alaska Outdoor Gear Rental. Many options & sizes to choose from. We were worried about the temperatures and what we needed. We returned to the Pike hotel which was helpful and saved us time. The aurora was amazing. Book in advance- your hotel, car, winter clothing rentals. March is a very busy month. We enjoyed a day trip to Denali National park to snowshoe and hike and many nights of aurora viewing. We were very warm! Chena Hot Springs is a must.
