We went to visit the Fins Wood Course and had J and Lane as our guides. They made the experience so much fun. They gave us the thrill of a lifetime! From the drive up the mountain and learning about Colorado Springs, to the hike and the learning to zipline, it was an exhilarating time! We wish we lived there so we could do it continuously.

My husband and I enjoyed the Fins course while at the Broadmoor for the 2019 Weekend of Jazz. We've zip lined a few times in Costa Rica rain forests but thought the mountainous vista would be a cool change of pace. Our guides were Pat, Nick, and Derek. They did a nice job getting us all suited up in the gear and giving the short training instruction, where we had to practice self-braking. They were very diligent in keeping us connected and ensuring our safety, but kept the mood light with lots of jokes along the way. The earlier zip lines were relatively short and slow, then grew longer and faster. The most breathtaking parts were the suspension rope bridges. I literally had to make myself stop to enjoy the beauty around me; otherwise, I was trying so hard NOT to think of what could happen if... I believe the longest, fastest run was just after crossing the two rope bridges. It was exhilarating - we loved it. It was soon followed by the repel drop, which was controlled, slow, and not at all scary -- in a good way (for me) since I don't like to simulate falling to my death. :-) In summary, we had a great time with the guides and the other participants, some of whom we saw a few more times over the weekend. We felt 100% safe the entire time, which was about 3 or so hours. The only drawback was the need to brake ourselves. There were no issues, but it was one more thing to think about rather than just enjoying the ride and having an automatic brake applied as you approach the platform as is usually the case. That said, it was everything we hoped it would be, and we'd likely do it again or try the Woods course for variety the next time we're visiting the area.

We had slept too late to make our original time slot, and one phone call I was switched to a later time that same day. Nick and Jake were amazing guides and were informative as well as funny. GoPro rental was offered, which we did for $40. We love to zip line, but the bridges and repel of the Fins Course made it that much more fun!
