I enjoyed the combination of food and history on the tour. We toured some buildings and learned about the restaurants or tenants from a historical perspective. My daughter (16) thought there was too much time between the first 2 stops and the last 2 stops. We tasted Tomato Pie, which was a first, Philadelphia pretzels, a cheesesteak with Wiz Fries, a donut, and a cookie. What the tour gave me was an experience and places to go on a future visit to Philadelphia. The guide gave us suggestions of places to go, like Reed Market or other Cheesesteak places, and suggested we try Ice Water, which we did.

As part of a Birthday Celebration, I choose the Philly Food Tour, as we were going to be there a few days, prior to attending an Anniversary Event in Maryland. My husband is a native of New Hope, so these were all familiar flavors for him. Even at that he raved about all of the chow on the tour. I enjoyed every bite, and the Cheese Steak on this tour has an exceptional flavor. Our Guide, Adam, was low-key, full of historical stories that entertained, and served our food and cleaned up after us, which was not necessary. I like food, and this tour was a perfect pick for both my husband (who doesn't walk far) and me (who likes to hike), as there were plenty of opportunities to sit down. Don't hesitate to schedule this at mealtime and make it lunch, dinner or both!

This means the world to us! Although we love what we do, what matters most is what our guests think of our experience and it makes us so happy to hear that everyone fully enjoyed the birthday celebration on our food tour. Finding that balance of delicious foods that represent Philly and satisfy all, covering enough distance while also not being too strenuous, and sharing lots of Philly info without overkill is something that we take very seriously and we're so glad that all met everyone's expectations.
