We chose the early bird 8:30 tour and are glad we did. It helped beat the heat. Suzy was our guide. She is warm and personable, and clearly excited to share her knowledge of the area and welcomes questions. We enjoyed learning about the area, with stops along the river and french market, as well as along the different sections of the French Quarter, with focus on the architecture and stories to accompany each example. Just a note to those considering booking: we did not eat breakfast beforehand because the descriptions on the Destination Kitchen site and this trip advisor site advertised that the tour started with a breakfast of beignets and coffee at Cafe du Mone before the tour. In actuality, you take the tour and then are given coupons for the cafe to come back to later. So, very minor issues but wanted to note them for others. Overall, a very wonderful experience I would recommend to others.
