This is truly a great tour. I booked this as soon as I landed in NY. Its a 7hr tour by foot (please have your walking heads on!), but it provided me with all the visits to the main sights of New York. The benefit of this tour over bus tours is that you get the subway, and therefore don't get stuck in traffic. Your really get a good feel of the places and the main landmarks. This tour set me up for the remaining days in NY, as it gave me my bearings of the place. In this tour, you will not be going INSIDE any of the main paid attractions, apart from Grand Central and the WTC Observatory (if included in the package), but I went inside all the attractions myself the following days. Our tour guide was Ian Fairlee, who was extremely helpful, and full of energy. THIS TOUR IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I went to NYC with some trepidation about what I could do on my own since my husband had business. When I found this tour and read other reviews, I decided that this tour would cover all the bases! Our tour group lead by Justina Hurley with NY Tour 1 was AWESOME! Justina is vivacious and very knowledgeable about all things NY! The tour covered so many things and the people in our group were so much fun! We had a couple from Wales, another couple from Ireland and a guy from the UK. We also had several states represented as well and the group was fun to be with. A highlight was the 9-11 memorial and the One World Observatory. There was a lot of walking but we did some subway rides and did the ferry to Staten Island so we could see the Statue of Liberty. I would recommend this tour to anyone who can walk 5 miles and is interested in the history of NYC. Excellent!

Honestly, before you start any tours in NY, just take this tour and you will be looking differently at New York. Our Tour Guide Jul was amazing, he explained us so many valuable things about NY, you would not find that in any book or forum. The numher of things you get to see along the tour is incredible. I highly recommend this tour but you must like the walking bit and the walking pace. If you don't like walking then don't do it. In case your good on your feets just go for it. I think I will do it again on my return. Five stars because our Tour Guide was friendly, smart, entertaining and a valuable source of information. And becaue we ticked most of the boxes you want to see in NY.
