The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He really had a passion for the park and made it fun. The vehicle was a large SUV. It was very nice and very clean, but......not ideal for seeing the sights from the drive, as we had expected. We had 6 passengers plus the driver, so two adults had to sit in the 3rd row and the second row was 3 across. It was fine, but not terrific for touring all day (we were picked up at 8a and dropped back off at 530pm) in the vehicle. Once in the park, we noticed there were other shuttle busses there with lots of tall windows that would have been better suited to take in the views during the drive. I even saw one with a retractable roof, which would have been terrific, as I was traveling with someone who had limited mobility issues. Booking through Trip Advisor, we were offered our choice of sandwiches for a sack lunch. Although they were very good sandwiches, one of the couples was offered reservations to eat at hotel in the park instead of the sack lunch. Apparently they booked directly and their package, for the same cost, offered a sit down, order from a menu lunch. It seemed a bit odd that we drove them to their lunch reservation and then the other 4 of us were eating a sack lunch outside the restaurant until they finished. ???? Lastly, the description offered the option for a hike. Again, this wasn’t something my companion would have been able to take advantage of anyway, but it was not offered to any of the passengers. So if you’re looking for a tour with a hike, I don’t think this one will be well suited. Overall it was a very nice day, but it felt more like riding around with a very knowledgeable local person than an actual tour with an agenda and tour vehicle.

We have several packages and some come with picnic lunch and some with sit down lunch in Ahwahnee which costs more. The 4 mile hike is from Glacier Point to the Valley or other way around. It is available for anyone who would like to do it.

The vehicle used was too small. I had been told it would be a step-van but it was an SUV., due to size of group. With that size vehicle, someone had to ride on the 3rd row and that was horrible due to the never ending sharp curves in the road all the way . We were all car sick. The back end fishtailed constantly with each braking action. I felt cheated to be put into the family car which also needed a good cleaning of windows inside and out and dusting of the dash. Not what I expected for the price paid. Driver was nice and went out of her way to give a good tour. I felt cheated and misled. Never would have gone if I knew it was a small vehicle on such a long and winding road all day.

We were given an excellent tour of Yosemite and all its highlights by our guide Brian. He arrived early allowing us to get into the park before any crowds. He was able to answer our questions and tell us fascinating stories about the park and it’s flora and fauna. Lunch was delicious and so enjoyable sitting looking at the park vistas. A very memorable day!
