Our guide Mike was great! Took really good care of our family. Brownies at the end were a nice touch as well. Only thing that was weird was they wouldn’t return our cell phones to us when we got to the shuttle but made us wait until we got back to the drop off destination.

For the past few summers we have made it a point to take a family rafting trip with our (now) 13-year-old son. This was one of our top trips. Our guide was a 100% California kid who grew up on the river and seemed to know everyone. He was good with giving commands to the boat - especially to the first timers we shared the raft with. All the staples of a single day raft trip (jump off a rock, lunch on a beach, high five with paddles) was there, but the scenery along with the frequent rapids to run and ongoing commentary from Keegan - the guide - made this an awesome time.

I was looking for an adventurous outdoors activity to share with my two teenage sons. Rafting the middle fork of the American River was perfect! It was a great day of nature, exciting whitewater, learning how to stay in a raft, and great instruction and conversation with Devin, our guide.
