À quoi s'attendre
1
Fall Creek Falls State Park
On this full-day adventure we journey approximately 2.5 hours east of our Nashville meet up location deep into the heart of the Cumberland Plateau.  Don’t worry, we’ll make a brief pitstop about halfway along our journey for an opportunity to stretch and use the “potty” lol.
2
Cane Creek Falls
We begin our adventure Cane Creek Falls (85') and Cascades (45'). There is a short walk from the parking lot the observation deck and nature center. There is a also a short but fairly steep trail to the creek bed near the base of the cascades. We will explore this area for about 30-45 minutes before crossing cane creek via a suspended bridge.
3
Fall Creek Falls
Now the real adventure begins as we make the steep and rocky 1/3 mile trek to the base of Fall Creek Falls for impressive views looking up at this gigantic 256ft tall waterfall and its skinnier cousin Coon Creek Falls at 250ft tall. If you adventurous enough, then you might even be able to hike to the backside of the falls for a view few will ever experience. After taking time to thoroughly absorb this other worldly experience, we then hike back up to the top of the gorge. This is another short opportunity to take in views from the overlook and use the restroom.
4
Piney Creek Falls
After refueling and recharging at the Snack Bar Café, we board our minibus and journey down Scenic Loop Road towards Piney Creek Falls. Here we will venture down the Piney Creek Falls Overlook trail where you will have an opportunity to view the 95 foot tall Piney Creek Falls. The trail continues and crosses Piney Creek via another suspended bridge. If water level are low enough, then we might be able to hike out to the top of Piney Creek Falls for a view few hiker ever experience.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our group were 2 adult, a 14 and 11 year old. The falls were breathtaking and the walk through the park was lovely. Our hosts, Norman and Issy were helpful, informative and fun to be around. We also borrowed their walking poles, which were helpful for the person in our party who has knee issues. One thing we had worried about was how hot it might be (is was 34c plus in downtown nashville). The reality was that the cool forest conditions was a nice 24-25c so perfect walking conditions. For us, having honky-tonked for 3 days straight, getting out to the park gave us a completely different view of the beauty of Tennessee - no trip would be complete without it!

We really appreciate your detailed review and strong support what we offer. You have a very lovely family. It was our honor and pleasure to host you all for the day. Agreed, there is so much more to Tennessee than the downtown strip - nothing wrong with it but its great for our visitors to experience the natural beauty our state has to offer. Best regards to you all as continue your vacation and travel back to the UK. We hope to see you again next time you are in the US.

My husband and I had an awesome time on this tour. Since our tour was just for the two of us we were able to be picked up at our hotel. Norman and Izzy arrived on time with the car packed with water snacks, and backpacks for us to use. Since we traveled from out of town, it was nice we didn’t have to think about anything. We just had to show up. As guides, I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better. Both have a lot of knowledge about the area and seem to know the terrain like the back of their hand. Both take great care in making sure you set the pace, do what you want do, and see what you want to see; all with your comfort and safety in mind. If this isn’t enough, they are both super personable, fun, and friendly. The hike itself is about 5 miles and I consider the terrain moderate. The views are spectacular. If warm enough, wear a swimsuit, bring a towel, and maybe some water shoes to take advantage of a dip in the pool at the bottom of the fall. At the end of the day it was so nice to not have to drive back to the hotel after a long day of hiking. This trip is well worth the time and money.
