We learned about this activity from our daughter, who did it last year. As we were staying in the North Beach area, and we had a beautiful day (upper 60s and sunny), we decided to do this. Basically, a 3-wheeled motorcycle, the cab is cozy for two normal-sized adults. Helmets are provided, and you view a operational and safety video prior to leaving. Your route is pre-charted; this is not a go-anywhere tour! The GPS worked nearly flawlessly, with plenty of volume to be heard, and a hard-copy map is provided if needed. Thanks to our prior knowledge, we knew that finishing the 3-hour tour without going over the time would be a challenge if you stopped everywhere that is possible, so we were selective where we did stop. We're no strangers to SF, but we ended up in areas we had never been to and saw some fabulous sights. The GPS not only gives guidance, but offers up historical and informational tidbits as you drive along. Once we either missed an instruction, or it was not given, but thanks to the map we were back on course in minutes. Get the higher horsepower model, not for speed, but sometimes you stop on a hill, and you need every HP you can to go again. BTW, there is no reverse, but pushing it is very easy to push on level ground. We did this on a Friday morning, and traffic was not an issue, and you are not on major streets the majority of the time. A couple of hundred dollars well spent.
