As the San Francisco weather is notoriously unpredictable, make sure to bring extra clothes. Twin Peaks is cold when the sun isn't out. We did the 4 hour tour (the longest available) and time just flew by. You get to really see the city and the GPS guide tells you great stories. After this experience, gocar will be our first option when visiting a new place.

This by far is the best way to truly enjoy San Francisco and get immersed in the neighborhoods while driving and obnoxiously yellow "car". We picked up our car at the Union Square location after placing a reservation online a couple of weeks back. After going through the waivers and whole insurance coverage (I got it...I can be accident prone)...Ray gave us another brief (very brief) overview on how the car works after watching the mandatory video...and then we were off on busy Mason street immediately thinking what the hell have I gotten myself into...yes there is no lot to practice...u just go out there sink or swim (again why I got insurance)...however rest assure that after a couple of blocks you get the hang of it and off you go.... We did the four hour tour and my boyfriend who prefers to stay home and watch a game over going anywhere lol did not know we were out there for so long because we were having so much fun. We did the red line and probably covered all of San Fran: North Beach, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Ocean Beach, the Cliff House, Palace of Fine Arts and more. By far the best part was driving down Lombard street! You become local celebrities with a lot of tourists stopping you to take pictures. Pet Peeve: so if u get off track sometimes the GPS will catch it and sometimes umm you are on ur own. We experienced this firsthand when because of a festival the directions the GPS was giving us were off. So we pull out our own phone GPS and go on. Its all good until we got to a hill that we probably had no business taking sweet Betty (our name for the GoCar) up....but we did and held are breath as we went up...it was about that time when the GPS system came back on to tell us we may need to get out and push (I literally died lmao 😂😂😂😂)...but good old Betty came through and we made it to the top only to be terrified that we had to go down a steep hill to drop off the car....As exhilarating as all of this was at the end of the day it would have been nice if we got an idea of which route to take for detours...

My wife and I were visiting California and hitting multiple destinations from San Diego to LA, San Fran to Napa. With that said, it was challenging to fit in a lot of activities, sites, etc.. into the limited time we had. The GoCar rental in San Fran (union square location) was a great choice! We were able to see so much in just a 3 hour time frame. In no way would we have been able to do this be taking cabs and trying to navigate ourselves. To top the overall experience, the service provided by Servio and his team was above par. They were very friendly, informative, and most importantly professional. I would highly recommend GoCar tours for anyone visiting San Francisco for the first time or simply is trying to see a lot of the city in a short period of time. -Mike S.
