We went on the gondola wine cruise which is on the company's Venetian Caorlina that seats 14. We set out with sommelier Kurt Kirschenman and had a wonderful time. As Kurt told us about the different wines we were tasting we passed by the beautiful homes in the Cays. The moon was out, the weather was fabulous and the fellow passengers were a lot of fun. This is definately the most unique thing to do in Coronado and it is a great way to spend the evening!

My husband and I were in CA for our honeymoon and we were looking for something romantic to do and we came across the Gondola rides. We did an hour long ride (we opted for the private ride). They provide you with a "treat"; we had chocolate covered strawberries, and you can BYOB and they provide glasses. The ride was a lot of fun and you get a very unique look at Coronado from the Bay. If you go ask for Mateo as your Gondolier- he grew up on Coronado and can give you great insight into the in's and out's of the area. Overall everything was great and we would highly recommend this whether with a group, family, or as a couple.

A gondola ride around the pretty houses on the cays? And I don't have to drop the $$ to go to Venice? Sign me up. If you're looking to have a romantic experience, or even just see cool new side of San Diego/Coronado, I highly recommend it.
