BUYER BEWARE .... This is sham and read the fine print! They reserve the right to cancel any portion of the trip and you will Not get the trip prorated!!
Secondly, if you have motion sickness and you throw up chunks of vomit, you are instructed you will have clean that up yourself .... They will supply the paper towels :).
Third, another fine print .... You stop for lunch at your cost not Stop for lunch which implies lunch is included In your cost. The had we arrived 5 minutes later or waited in line five more minutes which was already long ....No Lunch!!! The restaurant closed.
Forth .... Yes, you do go to Sedona and stop for 10--15 minutes to take pics of large rocks and good for FB shots but that's it folks .... Otherwise you are on a quick ride in the cramped van goes through Sedona. Having been to Sedona before ---- we could have stopped at their shops and eaten lunch about anywhere and enjoyed the beautiful area! But nope - off we went for the rest of the story:
#5. They do not communicate with their corporate office throughout the trip regarding weather conditions or accidents. Their office should be reporting to the driver about Weather conditions .....OMG! One of the passengers "thought"nthey saw a sign the road was closed to go to the Navajo Indian Reservation .... driver had to call the office to find due to weather that part of the trip was out and a road was closed to one entrance to the Grand Canyon ..... You can call ADOT and they will tell you in advance about road closings due to weather .... And accidents which delayed the trip .... It was a major accident as well. Now it took someone quite a while to get a sign posted on the highway that a road was closed so telling me they don't know the road conditions from minute to minute .... In that case, get out of the tour industry.
#6. Across Arizona Tours needs to provide feedback to these establishments they are taking guests who are turning down people for lunch ... People are paying just to get to their establishments, plus dirty toilets with paper plugged in toilets or lack of toilet paper is a disgrace and would never think of going back.
#7 driving too fast for conditions: driver was honking at people to get over on the highway, one passénger told our driver to slow down between going OVER the speed limit and wind, her driving was making her nervous, we all commented to driver at another time if she didn't see the car ahead of her that she was coming upon failed fast and my son is a CDL driver and was complaining about her not keeping both hands on the wheel!!
Overall, At the end of a 12 hour trip with 9 hours in a van with 11 people, Kim, the driver, also has posted a sign in the van on the dash plus also asked for a tip!!!! When you call the Operations Manager - her response: "I feel Kim acted fully responsible, cited their buyer beware policy" and as far as driving too fast she felt I couldn't possibly know because where I was sitting she felt I couldn't get an accurate reading! Seriously? For someone who wasn't there and went through our experience!!! Just saying!! So i fussed and finally got at $30 refund of the $414, I spent for me and my two kids as part of their Christmas that I worked hard for all year long!
I can't change the customer service culture of Across Arizona Day Tours but this customer will never darken the door to Across Arizona Tours.
