We only had a day here and were happy to have an experienced local guide who knew the best vantage points around the Canyon. Tim Wilson is their chief guide and was knowledgeable and pleasant. We didn't feel rushed but learned a lot from his handouts and explanations. The tour includes a fairly long ride east of the park into Navajo Reservation lands for lunch in the tourist stop of Canyon. The gallery there -- not the gift shop in the restaurant building -- has exquisite art and craft pieces at prices that reflect the high quality of the work of these artists. That said, I might have preferred more time in the park to the long car ride out and back to Canyon town.

The Grand Canyon is a massive wonder of the world to see. You can see it on your own or you can have an experience where locations an information help you to have the least stressful experience and enjoy your trip. By selecting the Grand Canyon Ultimate Tour through Canyon Dave Tours you can have a worry free experience that will instill memories for you. First let me tell you that the customer service was great. While booking, I entered the wrong date and called Canyon Dave Tours who made my corrections without problems. On the day of our tour, we were met by our guide Tim who was on time to pick us up at our hotel. We learned later that his canyon name was "Tim on the Rim". He was on top of his patrons and knew our names and personally greeted me. As expected, we were going on the tour with other people that he picked up before and after us in a van that had plenty of seats and rooms. Throughout our tour, Tim ensured that the temperature meet everyones needs. Tim also was very knowledgable about Grand Canyon and many of the aspects from history, geology, and park activities. Can't say enough about Tim's concern that we were getting answers for our questions and ensuring that we had ample time at all of our stops. I feel this all day tour would be good for all ages. We started out by entering the park and being shown a total of 7 different sites along the south rim throughout the day. Each site giving a unique viewing and photo taking opportunities. Each stop was easy going and provided plenty of time to explore and photographing the beautiful images that the Grand Canyon provides. Tim had plenty of bottled water on board (free) that help quech our thirst as we went through the day. The other thing that people may ask about is the lunch that is included in the package. I believe that anyone would be pleased with the provided lunch at the Cameron Trading Post. Though the menu is a select menu for tour groups, it provided choices for every taste. I will be posting a separate review on the Cameron Trading Post, but no one would be disappointed with the meal provided. All in all, this tour would be one that I would recommend to anyone going to the Grand Canyon to see the sites. Well worth the cost and would use Canyon Dave Tours in the future on return visits.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our tour guide, Keaton, met us at the hotel (at the scheduled time), drove us to the Canyon, and pointed out points of interest on the way. At the Canyon itself, he taught us much about the geology of the canyon, the Native peoples who lived there in the past (as well as the present), informed us of the native plants and other vegetation in the area, and their medicinal/health benefits as well. At the end of our tour, we had a fabulous meal at the Navajo Trading Post in Cameron. We were returned to our hotel at the appropriate time, after a very beautiful, informative, and refreshing day. Kudos to Keaton for his professionalism, knowledge, sense of humor and patience! Keep up the great work!!
