My husband and I took the day tour of the canyon. We were picked up by Dustin- our guide for the day. We could not have asked for anyone more k knowledge- able about the canyon's history, flora and fauna. Dustin took us to some amazing places and shared so many stories and interesting facts. We had a glorious lunch at the reservation and trading post. After there were more scenic spots on the drive back. We were both so impressed with Dustin's knowledge and wonderful capacity to share interesting things about the area. We highly recommend this company and particularly Dustin- just brilliant!

AWESOME! We took the 7 hour tour with Andrea. We were picked up on time in a very clean 14 passenger bus. Andrea was full of priceless knowledge about the area. This is a trip to remember.

Our tour began early when we were picked up at our hotel in Williams by our guide Keaton. On the drive up to the canyon, Keaton explained the ecology and geology of the area, describing formation of various features of the area, As the day progressed, at every site we visited, Keaton gave a thorough and easy to understand description of the geology, ecology, and history. The geological history of the area from before the days when the area was covered by and ocean and many of the sedimentary layers were deposited was particularly interesting; as were the descriptions of the expeditions to navigate the Colorado. In addition to "the science", there was an excellent description of the recent history and uses of the canyon as well as anecdotes and tall tales of events over the past 200 years. The tour itself took us to various locations along canyon, starting at Yavapai Point and then moving on to other areas that would be difficult to access on foot or bike (due to the distance) in a single day. Some of the features included Mary Colter's tower and the Last Chance Mine and views of the canyon and Colorado River along various points. When we travel, my wife and I typically prefer to go off and explore on our own and if we're on a tour, look for early opportunities to shed the tour and get away on our own. Although this was an all day tour, it held our interest through out the day and we didn't feel the same need to get away. Canyon Dave's is an excellent organization that seems very dedicated to providing an interesting and informative experience to their clients. From the first contact to book the tour until we were dropped off at our hotel and the end of the day, I can't think of a negative thing to say. It was a very pleasant and easy experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
