Since Grand Canyon west rim is privately owned. it is a total rip off. it should be someone;s last resort.. You can not drive your own car. you have to use their bus by paying $35, which is not worth. and for the skywalk again, they charge $30, which is not worth. if south rim is closed, then if you still want to see some thing in the grand canyon, then visit west rim. Dont waste your money for this total rip off.

656venkatak, We're very sorry to hear about your disappointment in Grand Canyon West. We require guests to take our provided shuttles out to the viewpoints for safety reasons. While we understand this is an inconvenience to some guests, we do provide free parking and each shuttle ride is only about 5-10 minutes long. While our prices do differ from the National Park, the fees do support the local Tribe. We do offer unique amenities from the other viewpoints such as the cultural experience and the Skywalk. We're sorry if we failed to provide a unique experience for you during your visit.

Neither of us had been to the Grand Canyon so we decided to take a trip to the West Rim while we were visiting in Las Vegas. We took a tour with Pink Jeep (excellent) and the drive was about 2.5 hours. We went first onto the Sky Walk, which was cool. I liked the perspective, for a fact. We stopped at a number of points around the West Rim and got some great views, great photos of the Canyon, us with the Canyon, us posing for fun pictures with the Canyon! December was an excellent time to visit - NO Crowds! If we're out that way again, we'd like to go to the Canyon floor and maybe ride on the river. The Grand Canyon is too big to explain - just as photos don't do it justice. It's just something you have to see. We're glad we finally saw what we did.

dianeoh1950, Thanks for visiting Grand Canyon West! We're so glad to hear you had a fun experience both at the Canyon and on your tour out here with Pink Jeep. We highly recommend coming back to experience the bottom of the Canyon either view helicopter or whitewater rafting!
