Jackie was funny and provided plenty of informative info about good places to eat, Vegas history and of course the dam and canyon. She had a great way of keeping things moving so that we had close to first dibs on arriving and getting into the skywalk early. She wasn’t kidding either because when we left the line was long to get in! I came with a family of 5 and she was mindful of special requests my kids had with lunch. As a parent you know how that can be! If you’re worried about that, there are some stops to get something else. This was my first time to the canyon and all I can say is wow! This was on my bucket list and I was not disappointed. On the way back we even stopped at a park to see big horn sheep! The bus was clean and a comfortable ride.

Sounds like you had a wonderful and memorable trip to the West Rim with Jackie. Yes, she is great and very caring of her guests on tour. Beating the line at the Skywalk is really a challenge, but it sounds like, thanks to Jackie, you were able to experience the Skywalk right away. I's also glad you had the extra added attraction of seeing the Desert Big Horn Sheep. Thanks again for your gracious comments and have a very Happy New Year to all!

Pros: Enjoyed the visit at the Grand Canyon West Rim and Hoover Dam. Our driver/guide was great and kept us on schedule. We really appreciated the great tips she provided prior to the visit and were glad she got us there early before the lines! The pickup and drop off points were at the hotel and they were very prompt. Breakfast was provided but we opted out of lunch. Cons: the ride to and from were miserable (not the driver’s fault but she could have helped get it toned down and instead she seemed to have encouraged the loud behavior throughout the ride and towards the end). There were a group of passengers at the back of the bus (sitting right behind us) that were so loud. They were all talking loudly and non-stop during the entire ride! I sat with my husband and we could barely hear each other (that’s how loud they were!). I was getting a headache and couldn’t wait to get off the bus because of the non-stop talking and screaming and yelling! At one point, they started singing! They just kept walking back and forth as if they rented the entire bus. No consideration to the other paying passengers. I did bring it up to our driver/guide and asked if she can request for them to tone it down a bit and to please give it a rest but nothing was done. I do understand that the group is on a family trip and excited to be with each other, but so are we! I was trying to enjoy my time with my family too. We wanted to enjoy the tour and listen to what our guide had to say about the places we were seeing and passing by, but we couldn’t hear her!! Overall I enjoyed the tour once outside the bus, but the ride was so-so. It was affordable, but I think I would have paid extra just to enjoy the ride. I like listening to the guides when on tour. 6+ hours with loud passengers was not fun. I’ll try another tour company next time.

Thank you for your feedback and glad that under the circumstances your family and yourself enjoyed the tour and the many attractions. On the other hand, sorry that you experienced a trip with other loud and restless occupants. As this is the holiday season, we are experiencing alot of ambitious families traveling to the destination and experiencing tours, probably the result of being confined for so long. I believe that for many reasons crowd control is extremely important on transportation sources and people need to respect the needs of others; dealing with it is another issue, but not to be ignored. We will approach our drivers with this important matter, and come up with some mutual and realistic solutions for future travels, specifically how to intervene and promote better harmony with everyone. Many thanks for your very objective concerns and hope you have a very Happy and Safe 2022.

Jackie was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Jackie was mindful of famlies and recommended a few restaurants that had good food at a fair price. She stopped at a park on our way back so we could see the sheep up close with a view of lake Mead in the backdrop.

Yes, it is very cold in the desert this time of year! It usually is an abrupt transition from warmer temperatures and does not last much beyond February. On the other hand, we have beautiful skies, snows in the mountain and rain in the valley, all of which we are thankful....such a nice change from very hot and lengthy summers. So glad you enjoyed the tour, and yes, Jackie is very good and loves providing tours to her guests. Also glad you got to see our state animal, the Desert Big Horn Sheep. They're very photogenic and can be quite friendly. Thanks again for traveling with us....Happy New Year to yourself and your family for 2022.
