The journey to the Grand Canyon (& the return) was excellent, hugely informative & great fun, thanks to our driver, Wally. Hoover Dam was anticlimactic to be honest, as the photo stop was quite a way back from the dam itself. Being able to walk across it & look down onto the Colorado River, would have been far better. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking, though a few hours just isn't enough time.

Hello Dean, many thanks for your comments regarding your West Rim tour. The Hoover Dam stop is just a photo opportunity and normally is well favored as an amenity by our customers. Because of time requirements on this brief stop, we advise clients wanting to learn more about the Hoover Dam and Bypass Bridge to take our full Hoover Dam tour which operates daily each morning. It is an approximate 5 hour experience, so I am confident that you might realize that tacking 5 hours on to the West Rim tour would make for a very long day and would exceed driver's work time. We do offer a special discount of $5 for those wanting to experience the Hoover Dam tour following West Rim. Thanks for your comments and Happy 4th of July.
