Hang Gliding at altitude is the closest thing to soaring like a bird. In some senses it's the purest form of aviation. Going up to 2000' above the ground is one of the most unique ways to see the Outer Banks. At 2000' you'll be amazed at how fragile the barrier islands look. The quiet of air will be both exhilarating and peaceful at the same time.

Your first time flying in a Hang Glider should definitely be near where the Wright Brother's learned to fly.

So this had been one of those "bucket list" things to do for the past 25+ years. The only negative thing I could say is that I waited so long! In terms of customer service, this crew knocked it out of the park. Linda was charming and helped pass the short wait time until it was my flight. Luke, my pilot, was energetic and knowledgeable. And the flight? OMFG!! It was incredible. Maybe not the adrenaline rush that skydiving is, but this will get a little bump bump going in your chest. The views are amazing: you see the sound, the Banks, and the ocean beyond. Once we were gliding for a bit, Luke asked if I wanted to go for a little bit of excitement; I was game. Take the risk, but it will ruin rollercoasters for you. I definitely felt emotionally lighter when the experience was over. Definitely worth the price tag! Bring extra dollars if you want a video recording ($40 for one angle, $60 for two). And don't forget to tip your pilot. If you're smiling at the end of it, then they probably earned it.

It was an amazing experience to fly like a bird!! Charlie was a great hang glider and I would highly recommend you go and experience this!

My daughter (age 15) and I made the trip from Missouri to some what celebrate her father who we lost to COVID in 2021. He was with us on our previous trips to the outerbanks, and it was our favorite area. This trip was about remembering, but also about new experiences, and this absolutely did not disappoint. Charlie (our hang glider pilot) was amazing, so was the rest of the crew on the ground,, and I am so grateful for the experience for me and my daughter. I highly recommend the experience. UNFORGETTABLE <3 THANK YOU CHARLIE!
