Griffins, Goblet & Gold: An Interactive Magical Arts Museum Tour

Aperçu
Join us for “Griffins, Goblets, and Gold,” an interactive ‘Magical Arts’ tour in the Metropolitan Museum inspired by a well-loved book series about magic and wizards. See spaces and places that might remind you of those in the books, from part of an actual castle to mythical creatures that resemble those in the story. You’ll participate in activities, explore the museum from a wizard’s perspective… and maybe even do a little magic. (Appropriate interactive wizards gear is encouraged.) Advance reservations required. Please allow two hours for your tour.

Please note: There are no objects or replicas of objects from the movies in the Metropolitan Museum.

These tours are in no way endorsed by or affiliated with J.K. Rowling, Bloomsbury Publishing, Arthur Levine Books, Scholastic, Little, Brown, Pottermore or Warner Bros.

Wonderful girls day at the museum on the Griffins, Goblets and Gold museum tour. My 9 year old absolutely lives every minute of it. It was a great way to introduce her to the Met. Evan is incredibly knowledgeable about the museum and the book content. She engaged every one of us, paying particular attention to all of the children. Highly recommend!

We took the Griffins, Goblets, and Gold museum tour. Our guide, Evan, led us through the museum with stops to talk about Harry Potter the art work around us. She engaged the kids with descriptions, trivia questions, and comparisons to the books and movies. It was a great way to explore the museum in a limited fashion. Otherwise, the Met can be overwhelming. Highly recommend!

Just took my HP-obsessed 9-year old Ravenclaw on the Fable & Lark HP-inspired tour of The Met and had a wonderful time. The kids were excited and engaged and frankly, so was I. It was a fresh and whimsical look at both a museum that we have grown up going to and a story that is a part of our collective narrative. The other guests were lovely either as a function of being fellow Potter fans or just luck. Just enough interactive moments to help give the kids’ energy an outlet without becoming an issue. Loved loved loved. Will definitely do another tour with this company! Evan was an amazing guide for both adults and children!
