We had a great time learning to surf at the Cove in Kehei. The instructors are fun and knowledgeable. The waves are gentle and anybody can do this. Our group was all smiles and riding the waves in no time. The photos are a bit pricey (like everything in Hawai'i) but worth it - their photographer is in the water catching close-ups of everyone, and got lots of great pictures of our group.

These guys were the best! Our family of 5 had never surfed before, they got us all up and surfing in minutes in a calm and reassuring and fun manner! Laid back!!!! The best part was "Church" - the surfing dog that actually got on the board with every single one of us and helped us surf! The best! Highly recommended!

On the day of our scheduled lesson, the water was pretty flat. They gave us the option to try again the next day. We took them up on the offer, and then they shared some ideas for other things to do in the area. The next day the water was still pretty flat, but we decided to give it a go. We were in a large group, but after some land instruction, we broke up into smaller groups each with our own instructor to give us an assist to help us get up. Each of us in our group got up and got to ride waves multiple times. The instructors worked hard to make sure everyone in the larger group got up. We had a fun time even though things were pretty crowded with our group and the other schools that were there too.
