Visite guidée en hydroglisseur

Aperçu
In half a day (4-4.5 hours), we will take you from Homer to the end of the road and beyond, deep into Alaska’s wilderness. We are the only guides offering airboat tours in the rivers at the head of Kachemak Bay, so you will likely not see any others, outside of our group. The physical demands of this tour are minimal if you can climb in and out of an Argo and an airboat, you are good to go.

This was such a unique way to experience another part of Homer. We saw moose, seals, loons, sea otters and a pair of bald eagles. This tour was a Great to spend the afternoon!!!

This was a spontaneous decision the day before and they were very courteous and accommodating even though it was to occur on Jul 4th. They are very familiar with Alaska, Homer, Kachemak Bay, and the different aspects of living full time in Alaska. Duncan discussed some of his experiences in the area as well as some of the other people who live there. We saw moose tracks, bear tracks, eagles, and a lot of harbor seals. The 10 and 7 year old grandkids enjoyed sitting in the co-pilot seat of the boat. The trip was fun, educational, and a good chance to see some of the “off the beaten paths” of the Homer area in a boat.

We cruised into Homer waterway, tendered into harbor and Michael picked us up at our ramp on the Homer Spit! The easiest excursion transfer to begin our Air Boat adventure when compared to 15 other ports on this 28 day cruise! Our drive from the Spit, through Homer to the end of the road, literally, was beautiful. Gorgeous view of glaciers across the bay, 2 moose - one with 2 calves! The trek down the mountain to the beach where Duncan waited on us was an adventure itself! We got on a mud skid skiff and went out to his Airboat at the mouth of the Fox River. We went 10 miles up Fox River and saw a huge group of Harbor Seals with pups, bald eagles, beautiful scenery and mountains & flowers as we made it to a pebble beach on the Fox River. Duncan pointed out huge bear tracks, huge wolf tracks and moose droppings, types of flowers...he is somewhat of a naturalist! We turned back & about 6 bald eagles decided to race us! Our Alaskan Airboat adventure was once in a lifetime event. We were in the wilderness.... and it was majestic. Micheal took us back to the Spit & suggested where to grab a quick lunch - delicious. We easily walked to our ramp and loaded onto the tender. What a great adventure on our 28 days solstice cruise. One of the best!
