We met our friendly and experienced guide, Adam, at Kiwanis Park for a night tour of the lagoon and to see the bioluminescent comb jellyfish. He provided good instructions for what we should bring with us and was helpful when we were getting in and out of the kayaks. He was also very informative about the jellies, other wildlife, and the local area. We really enjoyed our time on the water, and even though we missed the peak summer season for bioluminescence, going in late October gave us cooler weather, and we still got to see lots of glowing jellies. Highly recommend this tour and Adam as a guide! Also highly recommend bringing a change of clothes, as they suggest, because you more than likely will end up with a very wet bottom from water running down the paddle and into the kayak.

We have had the most amazing time and have referred all of our friends to Calypso Kayaking!! We ourselves have now taken the kayaking tour twice and have rented kayaks two other times and plan on going this weekend when in town. When we went last month when in town we saw atleast a dozen Manatees and then went out onto the river and had 5 dolphins swimming along with us as we kayaked, it was amazing!! Cannot wait to go again. The owner himself took us out last time and his son had taken us out another time. They are so knowledgeable and respectful of the area and the wildlife that resides there. We have been very impressed every single time!!

We booked the bioluminescent tour. We went out at 9 at night and played around in the phosphorescent Plankton and caught a few of the jellyfish that light up. We had an awesome time, and our guide Jared was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this tour. Remember tip your tour guide not your kayak!
