I really wanted this to be fun! But it was just ok. We expected to see fish through our clear kayaks but we didn’t see much of anything. We had a full tour & one female guide. She worked very hard to get us in & out of the kayaks! Due to kayak & oar design we got soaking wet. Far more than we planned to. I don’t think our Uber driver appreciated wet seats. One of the people on our tour had a leak in his kayak & it was filling with water the entire time. I would have been happy to skip the mangroves & just paddle around in the bay to see fish. I managed to grab a few photos of my family with my phone. We didn’t have the chance for the cool glowing photos you see on this site. I think our guide was just inundated with the size of the group & managing the situations. I’m glad we did it but wouldn’t do it again

Hello thanks for telling us about your experience and we wish you would have had a better one. We are unaware of the leak you mention, but that is currently being investigated as safety is our number one priority and these kayaks go out on the regular each night and neither our guides or other customers have seen / mentioned a leak. This was probably from splash from paddling and yes- kayaking you will get a little bit wet as it is a water sport after all :). Our local critters do have minds of their own as well. Sometimes we see a family of manatees or nurse sharks and other times we don’t. It’s just a matter of who wants to be social that evening. Hope this helps!

Chris was a great guide! He pointed out different species in the water and talked about the plant and animal life of the area. This was a great tour and a must do if you are looking for something different than the normal activities. Highly recommend! He even gave us a recommendation of places to eat dinner afterward and we were not disappointed!

Our trip was originally on a Thursday but got pushed back to Friday due to weather. It was super easy to communicate the schedule changes and our tour guide Chris was awesome. We went on their night tour and the clear boats had lights that illuminated the water beneath us, letting us see all kinds of wildlife. Chris had a ton of interesting information about all of the plant/aquatic life we came across. He had a couple spots that we visited where we got to see perfectly white Cassiopeia and even a baby nursing shark. The tour was great, the vibes were super chill, and it was really affordable; highly recommend for anyone looking for a different experience in the keys!
