In 1901, the great fire of Jacksonville quickly swept through the area and destroyed our downtown. Thankfully architects from around the world heard about our plight and came to help us design our buildings. On this wonderful tour, you will also experience several memorials and the oldest living thing in our city, the great Treaty Oak. A fun addition is being able to ride in our luxury tuk tuk over our historic Main Street bridge.

This was one of the best tours that I have been on! If you want to know & see about the real Jacksonville you gotta do this ASAP ! I am a veteran (DAV) and SCSU Omega! You will definitely see the some great spots and spaces throughout the downtown area!

Our day started with meeting Toni, our half day tour guide, at our appointed spot. Our tour was educational and fun! We learned some history about downtown Jacksonville and saw some beautiful residential architecture. I felt like we stepped into the past. We quietly glided along the streets in our Tuk mobile and I never felt like we were being obtrusive in the quaint neighborhoods. Toni shared so much information and answered all our questions. All of us needed a little break from our lives in South Carolina and we got the respite we were looking for. I highly recommend the quality of this company and we will be back for sure, on a different tour!
