We could not have had a more perfect experience! We took the Coho ferry over to Port Angeles from Victoria, BC and walked a half block to the waiting tour bus. Tommy greeted us and we took off on a relaxing scenic drive to the Park and Lake Crescent Lodge. What a gorgeous place! After a brief pause to admire the surroundings, we started a lovely hike through the forest, heading to the Falls. Tommy kept the pace just right, stopping along the way to point out interesting aspects of the natural surroundings. I learned a lot about forest evolution that I'd never heard before. And the weather was perfect! Lovely cool breezes under dappled light shade from 1000 year old trees that were 300 feet tall! The Falls are awesome! Well worth the walk. After heading back to the lodge we had time for quick refreshments and even a "bonus" stop on the way back to see the Elwha River up close and a second waterfall! Tommy is an outstanding tour guide. He clearly loves the area and is a wealth of knowledge about everything going on, in and around the Olympic Park region.

Our tour guide was Dana and she was amazing!! She was so incredibly knowledgeable about the trees and wildlife! The tour was great because we got to enjoy the lodge and have a drink overlooking the Lake but we also got to hike Marymere Falls.
