David was a great host! We are first time visitors to Asheville, and on top of the amazing hike experience, David gave us plenty of great recommendations for all things Asheville. Couldn’t recommend this experience enough.

David, the tour guide, made the hike fantastic! He shared his vast knowledge of the plants and the area with such care. Sure, anyone can follow a hiking trail app, but David helped us notice birds and plants we wouldn’t have noticed on our own. He even knows bird calls. The tour is limited to four hikers so it is shaped to fit the group. Our hike was moderate in intensity, but completely comfortable because of the tree canopy. This hike was one of the highlights of our trip. The waterfalls are gorgeous and the land is delightful.

This was a fantastic half-day hike that was a memorable experience for my wife and I as a part of our anniversary trip! David was a fantastic guide providing knowledgeable observations throughout with his extensive education and training, and provided water and delicious, homemade cookies. (David’s an aspiring pastry chef and makes awesome cookies!) The waterfalls we visited were stunning to see in person and an unforgettable experience. Also, the smaller group size made it a relaxing hike that allowed ample time for questions and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this hike for anyone who enjoys a good hike with an outstanding guide!
