There is no adventure like whitewater rafting and there is no river trip like a Lower New River Gorge whitewater rafting trip. Rafting the New through the New River Gorge National Park is a milestone for East Coast paddlers.

The New River Gorge is the second oldest river in the world. Coursing through a 1000' deep canyon that is lined with soaring sandstone cliffs it is no surprise that this area was recently designated as a National Park. Wildlife sightings are abundant and guests will finish their river trip beneath the famous single arch expansion bridge known as the New River Gorge Bridge.

The guides were great, felt like we were in good hands! The river was amazing with a variety of levels, first time whitewater rafting but would do it again!

Wanted to take a weekend trip with my best friend through Virginia and West Virginia. We decided to do the white water rafting on New River through ACE. The experience was incredibly fun, the guides were incredibly friendly and personable, and everything was orderly and fun! The River was clean, refreshing, and had plenty of fun drop-offs that splashed you and made it more adventurous. Will be doing the Gauley River rafting in the fall with them since this was so amazing!

**Whitewater Rafting Review** Check off my bucket list! This adventure was AMAZING!!! There were four of us, and we had a blast! It was everything and a bag of chips! **Guide:** Our guide Tug was the best! He narrated the trip and shared fascinating historical stories as we navigated the river. If you need an expert river guide, Tug is your man! **Experience:** We did the half-day New River ride, which lasted about 4 hours. We tackled the big rapids and even got to swim twice! The scenery was stunning and made the experience even more special. **Instructions:** Ask for Chicken Head for instructions. He was hilarious and added to the fun! **Overall:** We will definitely go back and try the next step up, but only if we have Tug!
