This was a good trip. Didn't really get close enough to the whales, or at least what I'd hoped. Don't get me wrong, you see them but don't expect real up close and personal. But I think on another day it's definitely possible. I left feeling underwhelmed whale wise but the (hundreds) of dolphins came very close and were very playful. You see thousands of seals. Did see plenty of whales (10+ maybe 15) but as I said was just unlucky with the distance/interaction of the whales. It wasn't for the lack of trying for the crew though. They didn't cut any corners time wise and the man (Andrew I think) was genuine and passionate. For the money, it's worth it. The boat ride out alone felt nice. Wind in your hair, out in the Pacific. Very comfy little boat too, not one bit overcrowded. You feel very safe and not just another number in a tourist trap. You can't go wrong for the money. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Minus the wow factor but even without that it was still lovely. California is so expensive and this trip cost relative peanuts and for what you get, I'd definitely recommend.
