Traffic and parking can be very difficult and October is much worse with "LA Level" traffic. Give yourself extra time to get here and park no matter what your GPS is telling you. Check our website for details on where to park and options to get here..
Our public walking tours can pose challenges for participants with mobility and accessibility concerns. Tours are 90 minutes long and about one mile in length. Each participant must be able to complete the one-mile tour within 90 minutes, providing for frequent stops to view sites and for information from the tour guide. As Salem is a historical city, there are narrow and uneven sidewalks, bricks, cobblestones, and stairs. During events and festivals (and particularly October), with crowds and street vendors, the streets can become difficult to navigate.

You will get to see the oldest cemetery in Salem which is one of the oldest in the country. You will hear tales of paranormal activity in the cemetery and the buildings around it. Many anomalies have been seen in our cemetery.

John Ward House

The John Ward house is where accused witches were examined in 1692 when the home was across the street from the jail. It has since been relocated to the grounds of the Peabody Essex Museum, but the activity is still there.

The Witch House is the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin, who was one of the key judges during the 1692 Witchcraft Trials. There is a lot of paranormal activity there that has been captured by our guests. Eight of Corwin's children died in the home and the employees who run the home constantly report weird happenings in the home.

Gardner Pingree House

The Gardner Pingree House was built in 1804 and had a sensational murder there in 1830 involving a complicated conspiracy to get the money of Captain Joseph White. The plan unravelled as the co-conspirators turned on each other resulting in a suicide and the execution of two men.

The tour was really informative. Really did not give any in time experiences. But for the memory and pictures I would say it was cool for the most part.

The trials were 330 years ago and the buildings are gone. The Witch House is the home of Judge Corwin. It's called the witch house because of his ties to the witch trials. We know the site of the executions, but nobody knows what tree was used to hang the witches. Nobody knows if the tree still exists. And the debate rages as to whether they used a tree for the first hanging and then built a gallows. We know the locations of many of the events. Every tour in Salem has the same issue, but at least our tour shows pictures we've found from old books of people's homes and locations where events happened that are too far to walk. We walk about a mile because many locations were centered in the downtown area.

Our tour is was great. We all learned quite a bit. I highly recommend this tour. Even on Halloween it was busy

First time doing a tour and actually going to Salem in general which is why we wanted to do the tour and we was unable to enjoy and listen to what the guy said because first his voice was kind of low and it was hard to keep up with him because he was always in a rush. He would run to the next stop and wouldn’t even wait for everyone to get to the spot to start talking he would just keep doing he’s think like someone was waiting for him or he would just be on his own. It came to a point that we couldn’t keep going and we lost him because of how fast he was going specially when we had a pregnant women and a disabled person. We saw how others did there tours and they where way better than the one we had. He had a purple shirt, always closing his eyes every time he talked and always in a rush since I don’t even remember his name and maybe he didn’t even say it or I didn’t even heard it since again he was always in a rush. We was 15 in total since it was my birthday weekend and at the end half of his group end up losing him. The place is so beautiful and so much fun but the tour could of been way better. I really wish I could at least get half of my money back which we spend over $340 for just the tour but at least my kids said they had fun

We're sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with us. Halloween can be very noisy and out of our control. Our guides use amplifiers and try to be as loud as they can. The Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour is the most respected, recommended and supernatural tour in Salem.
