Hauntings in the Heart of Austin: Downtown Ghost Walk

Aperçu
This tour, unlike any other, marries stories of first person ghost encounters, ghost lore, and historical insights to bring you a spine-chilling exploration of Downtown Austin (Austin's original square mile est. 1839.)

Our hauntings begin at the iconic Driskill Hotel. Did Jesse Driskill leave more than just his legacy in this building when he passed away in 1890? Those who stay overnight in the annex sure seem to believe so. These haunted stories are served with a side of history. Our journey includes 8 haunted points of interest and culminates at the Texas State Capital Building , where mischievous and perhaps vengeful spirits play eerie games and terrify anyone who dares to work overnight shifts.

The tour was so much fun! Emily, our guide, was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging. This tour was a great opportunity to hear about local ghost lore and see some historic Austin sites, and get some exercise at the same time. Emily was very detailed in her stories and has done a ton of research, so even if you don’t believe in ghosts, I found this tour super interesting because I learned so much actual history and cool stories from Austin’s past. And the highlight for us was getting to visit The Driskill and hang out in the beautiful space while having a drink and learning about the local poltergeists. Highly recommend this tour!
