Heart of the Giant Forest Hike

Aperçu
Enjoy a nice walk through the Giant Forest while we walk down a paved trail to the world’s largest tree, the General Sherman Tree. From there we will walk deeper into the Giant Forest. Along the way we will learn about the wildlife and plants that call this forest their home. Keep a watchful eye for a chance to see some of them in real life. If we are lucky we might even stumble into a black bear or two! Customization is available for medical and mobility accommodations only.

Excellent in every way. Scott is not only expert in his knowledge of the forest, his friendly personality made our day of snow shoeing the highlight of our camping trip to Sequoia National Park. Sharing his knowledge of the trees, the history of the place, as well as the fauna, gave us a much better experience than if we had tried to take this hike on our own. We highly recommend this tour.

We drove 20 minutes from our Three Rivers Airbnb to Potwisha Campground in Sequoia. Scott brought out chairs for us and a telescope and gave us a great introduction to the night sky, giving the kids a better understanding of how our solar system and galaxy fit into our universe. Scott is very friendly and great with kids, and he has a laser pointer that is so powerful he can easily point out which star he is talking about, which is very helpful. I highly recommend this for a great family educational activity.
