Aperçu
The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Total Tour time 2 hours - 1 hour on the glacier with dogsledding (aprox 30 min sled ride) and 30 min at the lower glacier near the crevasses and blue melt pools. Aprox 30 min of flight seeing total round trip

  • We operate from a high altitude glacier covered in snow, please dress appropriately. Rain proof outer wear, warm layers, hats and gloves is required
  • Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.

Michael gave us a great ride up to the dog camp on the glacier. He explained glacier formation, pointed out different glacial features and more interesting “glacier things”. He also pointed out a moose and a dall sheep and was clearly looking g for things to show us. Great ride up and back with the fantastic dog sled tour on the glacier. Highly recommend!!

The views were insane! Landing on a glacier was amazing. The dog sled experience was so much fun and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Our helicopter pilot, Michael was excellent.

More than worth the price of the tour. Every aspect of the tour was thrilling. Both our pilot, Michael and our musher, Emilia, were five star guides. Emilia made the mushing fun and informative and Michael gave us a smooth ride and pointed out many interesting features during our ride.
