It was the most horrible experience: it said to be “skip-the-line access”, when we got there, there was a huge line outside of the museum we had to queue up. By the time we got in, it already passed the set meeting time. The tour guide was gone. I called the # on our ticket which was in Washington DC. I had to go through voice recording for a good 10 minutes before I could speak to a tour operator. I explained that as nowhere on the tour information warned that “skip-the-line access” didn’t include the security check line outside of the museum, we missed the tour and should get a refund. But the operator refused. I asked to talk to a supervisor about this matter, she said someone would call me. But nobody did. This is totally unacceptable that I don’t get my money back for tour missed due to their mis-leading information. I will definitely warn anyone I know about this tour...

Dear Sascha4488, Thank you for taking the time to write out your thoughts. We are terribly sorry that you got held up in the security line and as a result, you were not able to join the tour. Unfortunately, to protect the artwork and the guests, no Tour Operation company is allowed to skip the security line. It's also surprising to hear that you called a number that took you to Washington D.C. as we do not have an office there. Our offices are in Austin or Dublin so we are sorry you were not able to contact the right people. Should you desire to give more feedback on the matter please email us at [email protected]. We hope that the rest of your time in New York was still enjoyable. All the best, The Walks Team

Absolutely recommend the Skip the Line tour! Our 10:45 start time worked out great because all the lines outside for the 10:00 museum opening had already cleared, so we just had a 1 minute wait at the security line. Our tour guide Katie was wonderful - entertaining, inclusive, informative, kept us moving, and covered an impressive variety of exhibits. She projects her voice very well, so it was easy to hear her even when she had to compete with other groups. Three hours covers a lot of ground and about 1000 years of history, but it goes fast and its really a relief not to have to try to figure out where to go and what to spend time on in this huge museum.

What a great way to learn about some of the art at the museum. I have visited a few other times and used the audio to tell me about the art. It doesn't compare to the personal tour Kevin provided. I feel like for the first time I really learned about art. I wish I lived in NYC and could go once a week to learn about different time periods. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable, told us little secrets about the museum, and connected one time period to later time periods so it all starts to make sense. This is a must do! My teenage son loved it too.
