We invite you to learn about our healthy salt marsh environment, and introduce you to some of the sea creatures we'll safely pull up in our nets (in addition to shrimp!).

We will explore how various ecosystems intertwine to create the rich food web that provides food for our tables.

This cruise used to operate in different water where the shrimp were apparently more abundant. No shrimp were caught on this latest cruise whereas the cruise from about 2-3 years ago sent everyone home with several pounds of big shrimp. Please see the review from Filomena W as she says it best.

I had the pleasure of taking this tour about 5 yrs ago when it was run out of Hudson's -- it was terrific. The guide was very informative and entertaining. It was an eco tour with the added benefit of trawling for shrimp. I had talked this excursion up to all my friends and family it was that good. I decided to check it out again with the move to Harbour Town -- the crew was pleasant but inexperienced in my opinion. The eco part of the tour was haphazard and not planned. The captain needed to help the first mate pull in the nets leaving the tour guide (student) to steer the boat in rough waters who did not have the experience to know her port from her starboard. With the move to Harbour Town the boat stay in the sound between HHI and Daufuskie which is not at all conducive for shrimping bottom is way to sandy for the shrimp. At the end of the day it was a nice boat ride and OK if you'd not been on the excursion when it was run by Hudsons
