Great weather. Nice cruise. Enough time to tour Savannah and have a nice meal. The trolley had us waiting but no big deal. The walk back to the ferry was even more exciting

1. The safety briefing when leaving HHI was inadequate and hurried. If you’re going to tell people where the life jackets are, you should tell them what constitutes the lower deck. It may be obvious to the person doing the briefing, but when you’re sitting on the main deck and there’s still one deck below you, the messaging is a bit blurry. They also didn’t mention escape routes. Half the people weren’t paying attention as it was. They’re probably the same people that talk during safety briefings on airplanes. Frustrating for the crew, but there it is. Not an excuse. I'm a naval officer, so clearly this informs my constructive criticism. 2. The forward doors in the main seating area were blocked with people standing and kids sitting on the floor both to Savannah, and also the return. They have signage telling people not to block these entrances. This needs to be policed. Also the stairway leading to the washrooms on the lower deck were blocked with kids who were camped out on the floor there, presenting a trip hazard to the seniors and mobility impaired people on the boat. 3. There was no safety briefing for the return trip. The boat is equally likely to sink on the return trip. It should be repeated. We had a great time, don’t get me wrong. We really enjoyed the hop-on, hop-off trolley tour of Savannah (extra $$) during the four hours we had for free time in Savannah. It's just that safety is not something that should be skimped on, especially crowded as we were on the one enclosed deck with the cold weather.

We really enjoyed being able to see Daufuskie Island on the way to Savannah. Crew was friendly - my only wish is that the captain would point out things along the way occasionally (rivers we were on, smaller islands we passed, etc.)
