Excellent way to kick off a visit to Tuscon to get a good lay of the land- loved the tour and highly recommend.

My husband and I love taking bike tours wherever we go. We find it is the best way to get an overview of a city, moving slow enough to see, but fast enough to see a lot more than by walking. Tucson Bike Tours was no exception...a GREAT way to see Tucson. We covered a surprising amount of territory without it feeling like a long or tiring ride. Jimmy kept us moving at a speed a little faster than most bike tours I've been on (but there were only 5 of us), which for the sake of riding was great...but a tiny bit fast for trying to take a few pictures along the way. He knew the history of the area and fun neighborhood facts and info. He told just enough to learn something without getting bogged down in minutiae. Mid-ride Jimmy took us to Anita St. Market and got warm tortillas for all of us to try (he even brought some butter!) We enjoyed the single speed bikes, and even the couple we were with who had never done a bike tour had a really good time and were impressed with all they saw in three hours. Highly recommended!!

Thanks for the detailed review! I used your feedback on my tour today. We do cover a lot of ground so the stops (vs the actual riding) have to be fairly quick, but I'm letting people to let me know if more time for photos is needed at a given location.

take a bike and cover the neighborhoods of tucson with jimmy as your guide. he routes you through a variety of different areas of tucson branching out from downtown. each is different and fun to explore. along the way jimmy will regale you with the history and stories of the area. the pace is easy and the bikes are standard street cruisers. this 3 hour bike tour gives a complete overview of the lay of the land. now you can plan future explorations on your own. very worthwhile adventure.

Thanks for the review. The tour really is a great way to get a great overall feel for central Tucson, giving you ideas for places to spend more time at. One admittedly nitpicky correction: our bikes are classified as commuter or city bikes, not cruisers. Ours have 700c tires, which is similar to what a hybrid bike would have, not the fat balloon tires of a cruiser, which take a lot more effort to pedal.
