A group of us had a BLAST with Kay. She kept us engaged and entertained--no small feat with the five of us who are high energy and easily distractible (I was literally distracted by a squirrel). Her command of historical detail was comprehensive, ranging from the 1600s to early 2000s. Best of all, she was funny, relaxed and highly personable, adapting easily to (and even joining us in) our snarking at each other. We did the tour the first full day of our trip and it helped set the frame for the rest of our time. A definite must-do!

Kay Abrams (Walk it Charleston) was a fantastic tour guide! It was like she was reading our minds regarding the things we were interested in seeing. She offered a broad range of places and she knew the history at each stop. She had an infectious laugh and knew many people in town. Not only did we learn a lot about Charleston from Revolutionary war to present, but we gained a friend! Make the walking tour with Kay the first thing you do, it will help with your planning the rest of your stay in Charleston.

We found Walk It Charleston from our son who recommended the tour and especially Kay. He was absolutely right! We had a great time and were overwhelmed with the history and sites we visited. Kay was outstanding - helpful, knowledgeable, energetic and funny! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and recommend this for anyone. It was great way to learn about the city and Kay gave some ideas of other local places to visit. 2 hours went by remarkably fast! A highlight of our visit.
