Visite historique du quartier rouge de Galveston

Aperçu
Return to a time when the mob ran Galveston and their guests were treated as if they were family. When you crossed the bridge you enter "The Free State of Galveston," where the only rules were mob rules. The stars of the era were world class entertainers brought in to perform in the casinos, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin. Everyone was enjoying their own "Vegas Dream" right here in Galveston.

What an outstanding time! My family and I are "weekend locals" and decided to take a tour after dinner. What a great time. It's incredible how much history there is on the island, and how HISTORIC the space is. I learned so much about the Moody's, the Fertitta's, Vick & Anthony, and more! This tour was great, our guide was very knowledgeable and we were shocked to learn about all the prostitution that took place starting in the 1600s up to the 1990s!

I did the Red Light tour and wasn't disappointed. I learned lots about the ladies, the people who were instrumental in the development of the city of Galveston and the stories behind many of the buildings that were used as brothels back in the day
