Lonnie was an incredible tour guide! He discussed important topics about slavery and systemic oppression in a thoughtful and professional manner. My 11-year-old peppered Lonnie with questions and he patiently answered every one! My entire family learned so much from Lonnie’s tour (and that’s saying a lot since I grew up near Williamsburg). I would absolutely book with Lonnie in the future and have already recommended the tout tour to several family members and friends.

Lonnie was a great tour guide. He provided insightful information, and it was obvious he had done some research on the history of Williamsburg. The most interesting facts were around the early emancipators and the risks they took in freeing their slaves in early America.

The slavery tour was very interesting. However, much of the slavery tour was covered in the Patriot’s tour. No need to do both. Either one. By itself is well worth the time and $$.
