Hoover Dam/Historic Era Railroad Museum Tour NOUVEAU (déjeuner en option)

Aperçu
One of seven Industrial World Wonders, Hoover Dam is a concrete gravity-arch dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between Arizona and Nevada. You’ll take the elevator with a guide to the bottom as he/she describes this modern marvel. At the bottom, you’ll tour the powerplant, seventeen main turbine-generator combinations that generate a maximum of 2,074 megawatts of hydroelectric power.
Next, Historic Era Railroad Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in learning more about our country's history or how railroads shaped our nation and Hoover Dam. Boulder City was the federal town established to house workers on the Hoover Dam project. The U.S. Government and Six Companies both operated railroads between the Boulder City Yard and Hoover Dam. These essential railways made the construction of the dam possible and continued to play a vital role in the process well into the 1960s.

Lunch is optional, we'll choose from Cornish Pasty to local favorite restaurants

Desert Wonder tour guide Bob, was amazing. As we drove to the Hoover Dam he was no stop telling us about the history of towns and surround. After our tour of the Hoover dam he drove us around to see all the different views. Afterwards he ask where would like to go for lunch. We had no clue and asked for recommendations and he gave 3 different places along with the history of them. I don’t remember the name of the place but the food was great. On the way to the restaurant he made a pit stop at a park so we could see the rams. Railroad museum was closed by time we got there but we still wonder round anyways. We told him about how expensive snacks were at the hotel so he made another pit stop for us to get snacks. We had a great time.

Absolutely by far the best company to book with... Our tour guide Mike was impressive ! He was on time , welcoming , made us feel like family, shared so many interesting facts about the areas we drove thru , wanted us to have the best time and by far did he show it.... we had a great day exploring the hoover dam , Boulder city for lunch stop, train museum and a fabulous personal tour guide. In the middle of all the events , my husband mentioned he always wanted to see a big horned mountain sheep and Mike made that happen on the way to lunch. The smile on my husband's face was priceless... I recommend this company and especially Mike , he will make your trip phenomenal!!! We were so exhausted from all the sightseeing , my husband and I took a nap on the way home ... We will see ya'll again. THANKS MIKE... John and Tonya Farrell from Savannah Ga
