Driver was humorous and informative. Great way to view the city for first time visitors ….. and we were lucky to have such lovely weather

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! From start to finish this company went above and beyond! My wife and I are locals and we had family coming into town. What better way to show them around than with a trolley tour. We researched a few and saw that Old Savannah Tours was LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED! We’ve seen the green and orange trolleys in other cities and realize that they are a NATIONALLY Owned chain. Each orange trolley that passed by the narrator looked half asleep along with their passengers. We were picked up from our hotel in a limousine type bus! Such style and class! The driver was very kind and she explained the process to us in further detail. We arrived at the Visitor Center and was greeted by young man. He helped us bored the trolley and even helped my mother in law climb the stares! Excellent customer service! The first guide was excellent, I believe his name was Charlie! A plethora of local information! We hopped off at stop 4 to explore the park for a while. The farmers market on Saturdays is a must! When we made our way back to the stop to catch a trolley there was a group of folks already standing there waiting. One lady who must of been on the phone with the trolley company was just as mean and as nasty as she could be. The trolley company was obliviously caught off guard by the number of visitors but it was obvious that they were trying to make it right. My wife stepped to the side to call the office just so they were aware of how many people were at the stop. She said she spoke to the nicest young lady named Macey. Who explained the situation in detail and assured us we would get on a trolley.A shuttle also came by and explained the situation. We decided not to wait at the stop with that rude lady because everything she said was negative. We ended up walking to stop 5 to check out the old school house there. We walked around the square for a few minutes and low and behold an almost empty white trolley came through with the FUNNIEST of tour guides! Mr. Comedy!! What a treat he was! We finished out the tour and decided to walk back to our hotel stopping for lunch that Mr. Comedy recommended along the way! All in all we had a great experience! This is a VERY WELL operated local tour company! The kindness of the staff really make the difference! Anytime we have family come to town we are definitely going with Old Savannah Tours!

We took the hop on hop off tour so we could see the city at our pace. Boarded at the train station visitor center just after 9:00am on a Friday. We got off at a couple of the early stops and were able to get back on quickly when ready. The buses were about 15 minutes apart. Got back off at stop 7 and had lunch. We tried to get back on after lunch and two busses came by; first was full; second took some folks waiting in front of us and then was full. So we walked to stop 8 at ABERCORN, not Habersham like the map from the tour company says. Toured that area on our own for about 20 minutes and still had not seen a bus. In short, we walked on our own to City Market, then up River St and finally stopped at Stop 10 to reboard. Waited close to 30 minutes with 10 others waiting for Old Savannah. Old Towne tours had buses stopping every 5 minutes during that time. My suggestion: if you take this tour, stay on the bus for one full rotation and hear the whole presentation. Then hop on/off at your leisure. The characters who boarded were OK but not great enough to make this tour better than one that didn’t make me waste time waiting on full buses. After we booked online, I found $5 off coupons at the GA Welcome Center, so look for coupons before booking if you decide to choose this company. They did have free parking at Montgomery St but it was super hard to find because it’s at an old Bank America building and still branded everywhere as a bank unless you come in from exactly the right direction and see the placard on the street with the Old Savannah name.

Thank you for joining us for a tour. We apologize for your wait time. Mid day can often be tricky with people trying to get back on a trolley following lunch. It can be particularly difficult at certain stops where the restaurants are plentiful. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
