I selected this tour for the characters. I thought my kids might get bored with a tour that just provided history, and the characters seemed like a perfect way to keep them engaged. Well, we only had 3 characters on the entire tour. The three we had were fun and did a great job. But I certainly expected more than 3. The driver provided good information although it was sometimes hard to understand him. The main reason I do not recommend this tour is that if you hop on/hop off, you will wait FOREVER for a trolley to come around again. They do not come every 15 minutes. Nowhere near that. We waited 45 minutes at one stop. That is crazy. It got old and frustrating waiting so long, especially when I booked this tour hoping it would be kid-friendly. If you never intend to get off, then this could be a decent way to see the city. If you do want to hop on and off, take the Old Town Trolley tour instead. We saw around a dozen of those come and go each time we waited for Old Savannah.

We apologize for your wait time. There has been an influx of people coming to Savannah following the pandemic and we have been trying to navigate unchartered territory. With the construction in the city, and the added traffic it can be difficult to get to the stops within the 20 minute time frame. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Very informative! Friendly host. Great character actors. Gorgeous scenery and architecture. All around good time for the whole family.

Luckily got this tour before a heavy thunderstorm. Road the streets with lots of information. Staff is informative and the route seemed good. A good way to see Savannah when it's incredibly hot and thunderstorm are prevalent.
