The history of Savannah is plentiful. The history provided was good but more narrative on black contributions would be great. The convenience of stops was good.

Our family of five loved this tour! We first rode the route the whole way through and then decided how to spend the rest of our day. Robin, our first guide, was great! We loved hearing all of the history, and Savannah’s historic district is so beautiful! This was easy to find, and we didn’t have to wait to hop on most of the trolleys, including when we arrived at 10am. Traffic gets heavy in the afternoon, so we did have to wait quite a while at the Pirates House at 3pm, and then it took a long time to get back to the start. In hindsight, we probably would have walked from Pirates House to one of the river stops. COVID safety seemed pretty good. All of the trolley windows were open, and most passengers were good about wearing masks. Robin had a friendly way of making sure people knew they needed to keep on their masks. The last trolley had a driver who didn’t mind if people didn’t wear masks, and unfortunately, that was the most packed trolley. If you’re nervous about COVID, I would recommend sticking to the morning hours/non-peak times. Although we had a positive experience and great time, it did seem that there were way more orange and green trolleys from the other company. If you’re going during a peak time or want to make a lot of stops in the afternoon, you may want to research the other trolley option. But this one was fun and informative and worked well for our family!

Yes, traffic in the historic district can get pretty bad. Thank you for understanding this. We will definitely let Robbin know that you enjoyed her tour. She is truly one of a kind. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and enjoyable. The timing of the trolleys however were the biggest issue. While they may have been close to every 20 min (many at best 30 minutes), they were frequently full and so you would have to wait for another. We waited through three buses once and opted to walk forward to another area. My advice would be to get on and NOT get off until the end otherwise you may not get back on.

We apologize for the inconvenience while on tour with us. We are definitely becoming more prepared for the number of people that are traveling again.
