Not only will you have the opportunity to catch world class fish, but you will be able to do it in the intracoastal as you get a grand tour of urban Fort Lauderdale. Since the fishing takes place in the protected inshore waters you do not have to worry about getting seasick or having to travel far offshore in rough seas. All of our fishing is with light tackle, which makes the experience much more exciting and allows the angler to feel part of the action. Our main species we target are tarpon (sometimes over 100 pounds), snook, jack crevalle, barracuda, and sharks. We mainly fish with live bait, and most of the action is topwater giving the angler a visual experience. Anglers are welcome to hold the rod or use the rod holder until there is a bite depending on how much anglers want to participate.

I booked this charter one evening after work and was blown away by the beauty and quality fishing in Fort Lauderdale's intercoastal waterways. Captain Zach grew up on these waters, his knowledge of this fishery is truly amazing. He put me on a few nice tarpon and numerous big jacks. You don't need to travel to the Keys to experience great Inshore fishing, it's right in our backyard.

I’ve taken quite a few charters with Zach over the years and he always finds the fish. I’m an avid fisherman on my own in south Florida and yet Zach is responsible for my personal best Tarpon, Snook, and Jack. Not only does he know where the fish are, he also knows the ins and outs of Fort Lauderdale and is a pleasure to chat with in between bites. I refer all my friends/clients to Zach and I’d recommend you take a trip with him too.

I have fished with Capt Zach numerous times and the experience is nothing short of amazing! He is incredibly knowledgeable and puts you on fish after fish! He is very unique as he can put you on snook and tarpon in the inter coastal and backcountry and can also put you on bonefish and permit on the flats of biscayne bay, as well as offshore fishing! Capt Zach is an incredibly nice and fun dude and does an awesome job teaching you about fishing at a sports and fun level! Captain Slip is the only guide that I fish with!
