Tijuana was well worth the drive from LA and back. The excitement of crossing into Mexico through the business land port in the West was matched by the sights, smells and smiles of the people in Tijuana. Our tour was very well organized. A gentlemen’s picked us up from the US side and helped us get over to the Mexico side and handed us over to Sara - our guide for the day - who seemed friends with almost everyone in Tijuana. Sara walked with us for over 4 hours - food and tequila tasting, showing us unique sights of the place and also buying us lunch and taking us on public transport. Sara’s enthusiasm and cheerful demeanor made the entire trip very pleasant. Definitely recommend the tour and ask for Sara, if you can!

The tour was amazing. We were met at the border on the USA side then we walked across the border to Mexico. We met the tour guide there, took the bus downtown Tijuana and walked the city. Amazing! Our guide was Carlos. He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. If you can, GO!!!

We really enjoyed our tour with Carlos! Even though plans changed to walking across the border, it was no big deal. A neat experience! Per usual on these group tours, some participants show up very late and hold everyone up…just be patient. Plan to arrive early to find paid parking on US side to avoid delays. Then change money near the meet up point on Mexican side. All of our stops for food and drink were amazing, the locals warm and friendly. Carlos was very knowledgable and charming. Be prepared for lots of walking…all flat but wear good shoes! I definitely recommend the tour, Carlos and the very vibrant city of Tijuana!
